The Essential New Holland® Farming Apps

Apr. 30 2020 Ownership Tips By ___

Farming changes drastically with every passing decade, especially given how much technology has continued to develop rapidly year after year. While it can be difficult to keep up on all the changes, there’s a lot of tech you can use to your advantage. If you have a smartphone, then you have access to a myriad of New Holland apps that can help improve productivity, both for you and your equipment. We’ve listed a few of them here to check out at the app store on your device.

You can also contact us with other questions you may have, at our locations in Yakima and Wenatchee, Washington, as well as North Plains, Oregon. We’ve temporarily closed our showroom to the public, but we’re still open for business for those from Portland, Oregon, and all those across the state of Washington.

MYNEWHOLLAND App

If you own New Holland equipment, this is the first app you’ll want to download. It’s your go-to resource for your equipment, no matter where you are. It gives you the ability to register your equipment and find a dealer in less than a minute, as well as provide you access to videos, manuals, special deals, and other information related specifically to your set of equipment.

Use the New Holland Customer Centre to receive support with the help of your local dealer, who will monitor the issue and provide you with real-time updates. The telematics data will let you monitor your equipment, even if you’re not in the field, and on top of all that, you can get your subscription to your Precision Land Management devices. It’s all the most essential information you’ll need in one place.

The New Holland® Weather Forecast App

Keeping track of the weather is an essential part of good farming. You need to know when the days will be nice, when Mother Nature is sending rain, and when you have worrisome weather on the way that you’ll need to prepare your crops for. But the weather forecast that your local news station provides may not have all the information you need as a farmer.

That’s why the New Holland Weather Forecast App offers more than just the basic forecast. It also provides other important data like evapotranspiration and almanac data to compare the current conditions with previous ones. On top of that, you can also get access to news on farming and agriculture, as well as directions to the nearest New Holland dealership.

The New Holland® Grain Loss Calculator

Calculating your grain loss can help you make adjustments with your combine. Using this app can make it easier to make those adjustments.

There are three simple steps:

  1. Input the brand, header, and cleaning shoe width the combine you’re using.
  2. Choose from more than 30 crop types to indicate what you’re harvesting.
  3. Count the number of kernels on the ground in a limited area, and input that number.

The app will do the rest of the work. It’ll provide you with the estimated grain loss in kilograms per hectare, so if you’re not satisfied, you can adjust your combine accordingly. Use this as often as you need to in order to ensure you’re maximizing yield. You can use this in conjunction with other great technologies that come with New Holland harvesting equipment, like the Intellifill system.

Having the right set of tools isn’t just about the equipment. These apps and so many more can help optimize productivity and yield, so take some time to explore what’s available to you through your device’s app station. You can also contact Burrows Tractor for additional information, both on the best tools and the best New Holland equipment. We proudly serve all those Yakima and Wenatchee, Washington, as well as Portland and North Plains, Oregon.
